Grantville Passenger Depot, Grantville, GA (c. 1895)
Preservation South completed an assessment of the condition of the building for the city of Grantville. This report served as the basis for the rehabilitation of the exterior of the building. The scope included the restoration of all windows and transoms, the removal of non historic doors, recreation of missing elements including fright doors and the careful removal of all the exterior paint. The building was then repainted in its historic color scheme and the old asphalt shingle roof was replaced with a new pressed tin shingle roof.
The interior restoration will begin in the coming months.
